Four gamblers arrested in Safapora Gbl: police

Ganderbal, Feb 21: Ganderbal Police have arrested four Gamblers in the jurisdiction of PS Safapora and seized stake money, a deck of playing cards from their possession.

In a statement to Asian News Hub, a police spokesman said on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Sandeep Gupta, Police Party headed by SHO PS Safapora Sub-Inspector Gulzar Hussain under the supervision of DySP Hqr’s Ganderbal Gh Hassan-JKPS apprehended four gamblers at link road Barkati Mohalla Safapora-Hakbara and stake money Rs.5800 and deck of playing cards were recovered and seized from their possession.

He said, the accused have been arrested and disclosed their identities as Hilal Ahmad Malla S/O Ali Mohd Malla R/O Chandergair, Sajad Ahmad Sagoo S/O Ab Rehman Sagoo R/O Hakbara, Mohd Ramzan Fafoo S/O Bashir Ahmad Fafoo R/O Hakbara and Gh Qadir Shairgojree S/O Noor Mohd Shairgojree R/O Hakbara.

In this regard Case FIR No. 04/2024, under relevant sections of law stands registered at PS Safapora and further investigation taken up, the spokesman added.
