Srinagar, Sept 29: Noorul Shahbaz, a former Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Er Rashid, allegedly broke the front mirror of an MP’s vehicle on Sunday in Pohru Hamlet, Langate. The incident took place while the MP was campaigning in the area.
Er Rashid, Supremo of the Awami Ittehad Party (AIP), is reported to be safe following the incident.
According to the AIP, the former PRO had requested Er Rashid to remain within his designated area. However, due to a busy schedule, Er Rashid left the area, which reportedly angered Shahbaz, leading him to damage the vehicle.
The AIP clarified that certain political parties are misrepresenting the incident, causing unnecessary confusion. The party urged the public not to believe the rumors and emphasized that the situation is being blown out of proportion.
