Jammu and Kashmir police said to have arrested a female drug peddler and has recovered 10 grams of contraband Brown Sugar like substance at Chandanwari Uri.

A police spokesman in a statement said that under the supervision of Shokat Ali-JKPS SDPO Uri assisted by Inspr. Amardeep Parihar, SHO PS Boniyar arrested female Drug Peddler identified as Rubeena Begum wife of Jahangir Ahmad resident of Chandanwari Uri, who was notorious drug peddler involved in selling contraband drugs to the youth of the area.
During her personal search 10 grams of contraband Brown Sugar like substance was recovered from her and was taken into custody, the spokesman said.
He said that case under NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Boniyar and investigations set in motion.
Meanwhile, general People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship.
