Kulgam, June 29: An encounter has started between security forces and militants in Pati Akhiran Mirbazar area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Reports said that joint team of forces launched Cordon-and-Search Operation after receiving information about the presence of militants in the area.

They said that as the joint team of forces zeored the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them triggering an encounter.

As per sources two to three militants are believed to be trapped.
