Srinagar, Aug 30: An encounter has started between security forces and militants in Nagbal area of Shopian.
Reports reaching The Asian News Hub (ANH) said that joint team of security forces launched a Cordon-and-Search in Nagbal area of Shopian after receiving information about the presence of militants in the area.
They said that as the joint team of security forces zeored towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them triggering an encounter.
Meanwhile Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet said, “Encounter has started at Nagbal area of Shopian. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow.”
