Shopian, May 09 (ANH): An encounter broke out between militants and security forces at heff shermal area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Reports reaching ANH, said that a joint team of security forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) after recieving specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
He said that as the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.
As per the sources, two militants are believed to be trapped in the area.
