Srinagar, July 05: A driver died after speedy oil tanker skidded into the river Jehlum in Wangipora Sumbal area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Quoting an official news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that during intervening night one unknown oil tanker on way from srinagar towards sumbal skidded off the road near wangipora checkpost and fell into river jhelum along with the driver.
They said that the searches were launched to fish out the body of driver and finally after hectic efforts body has been retrieved and has been shifted to CHC Sumbal for medico-legal formalities.

He was later identified as Jitendher singh son of Inderjeet Singh resident of Bharakh Dist Reasi.
Meanwhile police have taken cognizance and started investigation.
