Srinagar, Nov 05: The Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Jammu and Kashmir, has announced an online essay writing competition on the theme “The Evolving Nature of Media in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.”
The competition, open from November 3 to November 11, 2025, invites entries under two categories, Media Students (currently enrolled in Media Studies, Journalism, or Mass Communication courses in J&K institutions) and Media Professionals (currently working with media organizations in the Union Territory).

Participants stand a chance to win cash prizes worth ₹10,000 for first place, ₹7,500 for second, and ₹5,000 for third.
Essays must be typed in English, between 800 and 1,000 words, and submitted in PDF format only. Handwritten or scanned submissions will not be accepted.

The department has urged all District Information Officers (DIOs) to promote the initiative by sharing it on official DIPR social media handles and WhatsApp groups to ensure maximum participation.
