Jammu, May 14: A judicial officer died after being hit by a fast-moving LPG tanker on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway on Wednesday morning, news agency PTI reported quoting officials.
Prabhat Singh (59), Chief Administrative Officer of Ramban District Court and resident of Dhanmasta-Pogal, was riding a two-wheeler to the principal district and sessions court when the tanker hit him near Maroog in Ramban, they said.
He died on the spot, said Vikram Singh Parihar, SHO of Ramban Police Station.

The tanker driver has been arrested and legal action is being taken, he added.
The Judicial Employees Welfare Association (JEWA), Ramban, held a condolence meeting in the district court and observed two minutes of silence to pay respect to their late colleague.
