Jammu, Feb 11: In a press conference, the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, unveiled the Jammu and Kashmir Budget for the fiscal year 2024-25, resonating with a vision that places inclusive prosperity and sustainable development at its core.

Economic Resurgence:

The budget, totaling Rs. 1,18,728 crore, echoes the administration’s unwavering commitment to uplifting the economy and meeting the aspirations of the people. Notably, the strategic allocation of Rs. 97,861 crore for revenue receipts and Rs. 20,867 crore for capital receipts reflects a careful balance between immediate needs and long-term investments.

Growth-Oriented Approach:

LG Manoj Sinha highlighted the immediate goal of accelerating economic development in the Union Territory, with a resolute commitment to making it multi-dimensional. The budget is not merely a financial document; it’s a growth-oriented roadmap aligned with the government’s pledge to double the UT’s economy in the coming years.
