Budgam youth body retrieved from Jhelum after 23 days in Srinagar

The body of youth who allegedly committed suicide by jumping into river Jhelum in Safakadal in Srinagar has been retrieved after 23 days.

Reports reaching Asian News Hub (ANH) said that a youth resident of Khaag Budgam who allegedly jumped into Jhelum on 15 February 2023 has been retrieved this afternoon.

They said that locals spotted the body near cement bridge, who subsequently informed the local police.

Meanwhile, the body has been recovered by police and has been dispatched to hospital for medico-legal formalities, reports added.
