Srinagar, Sept 28: The Beerwah area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district was plunged into mourning on Sunday after two separate tragedies claimed the lives of a teenager and a young child.
In the first incident, 19-year-old Adnan Ashraf, who had been battling for life for nearly two months after a motorcycle accident in Beerwah, passed away at SMHS Hospital Srinagar. Despite sustained medical care, the teenager could not recover from his critical injuries.
In another heartbreaking accident, an 8-year-old boy, identified as Fida Hussain Dar, son of Mohammad Rafiq Dar, was crushed to death after accidentally coming under a tractor in Watalpora village.

Officials said the child sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot. Police confirmed that legal proceedings have been initiated and further investigation is underway.
Locals in Beerwah expressed deep sorrow over the twin tragedies, both families have been left devastated by the loss, with residents offering prayers and support to the bereaved households.
