Barbeques and other fast food selling is a male dominated job, but these young girls, have stood against all odds and started their own unit, where they have been organizing events and providing food stuff for the functions as well.

Gulshan Yousuf, who is head of Farman, told Asian News Hub (ANH) that anyone who has a will, can achieve the goal in their life.

“We cannot expect jobs and other things, but there is a need to come up with different ideas to earn the livelihood,” she said.

“Through NRLM, the group got training from IHM and thus were able to install the cart today at SARAS,” Rumeena Ahad, another member of Farman said.

She said that it was quite difficult in the beginning to opt for barbeque selling and other fast food stuff, but now the family and the society have been supporting them in their endeavour.

“The people, who visit us, are astonished to see that the female selling barbeques, fish and chicken stuff. They are appreciating us as well,” she said.

Farman member further added that under the NRLM’s UMEED, they have been able to achieve the goal in their lives and the girls should not do away with the goals but must come forward to achieve it.
