Sopore, Jun 28: The body of 17-year-old Bilal Ahmad Parray, who drowned while bathing in the River Jhelum, was recovered this morning near Maharajpora, Sopore.
Bilal, a resident of Kiterdaji, Dangiwacha, was a student at Darul Uloom Jamia Islamia Maharajpora and the younger brother of a serving SPO in Sopore Police. He had drowned in river jhelum on June 26.
A large-scale search operation was launched immediately by Sopore Police, with help from SDRF, MARCOS, local boatmen, and volunteers. After three days of continuous efforts, the body was finally found today.

The body was taken to the hospital for necessary legal procedures.
Sopore Police expressed deep condolences to Bilal’s family and thanked all those who helped in the search operation.
