Pulwama, Nov 11: The family of Doctor Muzammil, who was arrested in connection with a police investigation in Faridabad, has said they had no contact with him for the past four years.
His mother, Naseema, said Muzammil had left home several years ago and was working as a doctor in Delhi. “He left home about four years ago. He was working as a doctor in Delhi. We had no information about him during this time. When he was arrested, we came to know from others,” she said.
She also said that police did not allow the family to meet him after the arrest. “Even my other son has been arrested. They are saying my son is a suspect in the Delhi blast. I do not know anything about this. We tried to meet him, but the police did not allow us,” she added.
As per police, Doctor Muzammil was arrested after Police recovered 360 kilograms of suspected ammonium nitrate, an assault rifle, and other ammunition during an investigation in Faridabad.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing, and further details will be shared once confirmed.
