Srinagar, May 21: Apni Party paid glowing tributes to the prominent leaders Mirwaiz Moulvi Mohammad Farooq and Khawaja Abdul Gani Lone on the occasion of their death anniversaries.
A party statement issued here reads: “Kashmir’s two prominent leaders, Mirwaiz Moulvi Mohammad Farooq and Khawaja Abdul Gani Lone, who fell victim to terrorist bullets, will always be remembered for their leadership qualities and the widespread public support they earned throughout their public lives, as they contributed to society and served the interests of the people. These two towering figures have left a profound legacy — a beacon of hope and strength for Kashmir’s future.”
“Both Mirwaiz and Lone Sahib were assassinated in two separate incidents on May 21, in 1990 and 2002 respectively, marking a dark chapter in Kashmir’s history. They were young, visionary leaders who tragically shared a common fate.”
