In a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the Anjuman on behalf of the Auqaf and its incarcerated Chief Mirwaiz Umar Farooq paid glowing tributes to Hazrat Khadijah-tul-Kubra’s (RA) historic, selfless and great services to Islam and Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW), terming her contribution as unforgettable.

Umm-ul-Moomineen (RA) was among the first women who sacrificed everything for Islam and Prophet Muhammad (SAW), the Anjuman said.

Meanwhile, the Anjuman expressed deep sorrow and regret over the fact that as per past practice on 10th Ramadan, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq could not deliver a special sermon on the contribution of Hazrat Khadijah at the historic shrine of Dastgeer Sahib (RA) due to his continued house arrest which is extremely painful and disturbing for the Kashmiri people.

The Anjuman reiterated its public demand for an end to the unjustified and arbitrary detention of the Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir during the blessed month of Ramadan.
