Srinagar, Aug 11: A 50-year-old woman from Anantnag, who was injured in a road accident at Banihal last week, has succumbed to her injuries during treatment at SKIMS Soura.
Reports said the woman, identified as Naseema Bano, wife of Sheikh Mohammad Afzal, resident of Lawarmanda, Anantnag, was referred to SKIMS from GMC Anantnag after sustaining a head injury.
According to sources, she was crossing the road at Banihal on August 8 when an unidentified vehicle hit her. Despite receiving treatment, she passed away at SKIMS on Monday.
