Srinagar, Sept 16: The death of Firdous Ahmad Mir, a resident of Hajin in Bandipora, has sparked shock and concern in the area after his body was recovered from Banayari on Sunday.
Firdous had gone missing on September 11, and his body was found three days later under mysterious circumstances.
Reacting to the incident, Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari described the death as deeply disturbing and called for a fair and transparent investigation to uncover the truth.
“I urge the administration to ensure a thorough probe so that the circumstances leading to this tragic incident are made clear,” Bukhari said, while extending his condolences to the bereaved family.

In a post on X, he said, “The tragic death of Firdous Ahmad Mir from Hajin Bandipora is deeply disturbing. He went missing on Sept 11 and was found dead on Sept 14 in the Banayari area of the district. The circumstances surrounding his death appear mysterious and call for a thorough probe. I urge the administration to ensure a fair and transparent investigation so that the truth is uncovered. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
