Anantnag, Nov 05: At least three residential houses and a cowshed were gutted in a massive fire at Kapran area of Verinag in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday afternoon, an official said.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate, (SDM) Dooru, Ghulam Rasool Wani gold the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that fire broke out from the residential house and soon spread to other two houses and a cowshed in the area.

“Three residential houses and a cowshed were gutted in the blaze, while as concerned officials from administration including Tehsildar is on the spot”, he said, adding that the cause of fire is being ascertained.

He said all possible help and assistance would be given to the fire affected families.

Meanwhile, the locals urged the government to provide assistance to the fire affected families.
