Srinagar, Mar 18: The Adjudicating Officer, Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, has imposed a fine of ₹1,52,500 on food traders in Srinagar for violating various provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act (FSS Act).
The fine was imposed by Syed Ahmad Kateria, the Adjudicating Officer, during the adjudication of food safety cases. He warned food business operators (FBOs) that repeated violations of the FSS Act would lead to the closure of their businesses.
