Srinagar, July 18: A tragic road accident in the Mandi area of Parimpora, Srinagar, on Friday evening has claimed the life of a 36-year-old woman, left her 06 months old son critically injured, and her husband in stable condition.
The deceased has been identified as Nusrat, wife of Bilal Ahmad Kumar, a resident of Charar-i-Sharief in Budgam district. She suffered severe injuries, and was rushed to JVC Hospital Bemina, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Her husband, Bilal Ahmad, son of Abdul Salaam Kumar, sustained injuries but is said to be in a stable condition. Their son, Hami, aged 6 months, remains in critical condition and is undergoing treatment at the same hospital.
Three Men Acquitted in 2017 Srinagar Murder Case Due to Lack of Evidence
According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred when a speeding truck hit the family near the Mandi area of Parimpora Srinagar. All three were immediately shifted to the hospital for treatment.
Police have arrested the truck driver involved in the incident and have started an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
