Shopian students won 29 medals in UT level competition

(Asian News Hub) – In five day UT level competition held at indoor complex, University of Jammu, the boys from Shopian, all age group, got first place while the girls all age group Sqay martial arts bagged 3rd place.

In total, the Shopian district won 29 medals including thirteen gold, 8 silver and 8 bronze.

Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Sachin Kumar congratulated students, who participated in these events and also appreciated the district youth services and sports officer, Gurmukh Singh Dutta and his team for their outstanding performance in the competition, which made the district proud by showing amazing performance. 

The DC also advised the district youth service officer that the practice should remain continue for the students and the best coach be provided to them, so that they can made preparation for participating in future such events.
