Sopore, Jun 26: The Chemists and Druggists Association Sopore, in collaboration with the Wholesalers’ Druggists Association, Drug Department, and Sopore Police, organized a drug awareness rally on the occasion of World Drug Day.
The rally, held under the theme “Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life”, began from Dak Bungalow Sopore and culminated at the Clock Tower Sopore. Former Municipal Council President Masrat Rasool Kar and Industrial Association President Javaid Ahmad also participated in the rally.
Speaking on the occasion, Showkat Mohiuddin Lone, President of the Chemists and Druggists Association Sopore, said, “The purpose of this rally is to raise awareness among the general public as well as medical store owners on responsible drug sales and to curb drug abuse in our society.”

Several participants also spoke on the issue of drug addiction during the rally, emphasizing the need for collective responsibility and stricter regulation to tackle the growing menace.
