Srinagar, Mar 24: Salman Sagar, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Hazratbal, has supported the recent decision by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) to increase charges for booking community halls in the city.
Sagar stated that the hike was necessary to improve the maintenance and infrastructure of the halls. He emphasized that the additional revenue would enable the SMC to enhance the quality of services and facilities, ultimately benefiting the public.

The MLA also urged the people to view the hike as a step towards better amenities rather than a financial burden, adding that the revised charges were reasonable and justified.
