A strong Western Disturbance is expected to impact Jammu and Kashmir over the next 36 hours, bringing widespread rainfall across the Union Territory, as per Kashmir Weather.
Forecasts indicate moderate to heavy rain in most areas, accompanied by gusty winds, thundershowers, and isolated hailstorm activity. There is also a possibility of flash floods in vulnerable and low-lying areas.
Higher reaches, including Zojila, Sinthan Top, Mughal Road, Sadhna Top, and Razdan Top, are likely to receive fresh snowfall, which may disrupt traffic movement.

While chances remain low, light snowfall over middle elevations (2100–2400 meters) cannot be ruled out.
Weather conditions are expected to improve gradually by Sunday, although a few places may still witness brief spells of rain, the Kashmir Weather added.
