Irfan Manhas inspects ongoing work on Aarbagh Cricket Stadium in Shopian

Irfan Manhas, DDC Vice Chairman and General Secretary Youth Wing J&K Apni Party, spent a day out with young stars and the future of Jammu and Kashmir while inspecting the ongoing work on the Aarbagh Cricket Stadium at Shadab Karewa in Shopian. The construction of the stadium has been a long-pending demand of youth and locals for almost 50 years.

The cricket stadium is being constructed at an estimated cost of 1.10 Cr and is expected to become one of the hotspots for cricket lovers in Jammu and Kashmir. The work is progressing at full pace, and it is expected that the construction will be completed in this financial year.

During the inspection, Irfan Manhas interacted with the workers and took stock of the progress of the ongoing work. He appreciated the efforts put in by the workers and urged them to maintain the quality of work.

Speaking on the occasion, Irfan Manhas said, “The construction of the Aarbagh Cricket Stadium was a long-pending demand of the locals particularly youth of the area. We are committed to fulfilling their aspirations, and the construction of this stadium is a step in that direction. The completion of this stadium will provide a platform for our young talent to showcase their skills and will also promote sports tourism in the region.”

It is expected to generate employment opportunities for the local youth and will also contribute to the overall development of the region.

Locals and youth thanked Irfan Manhas for his efforts towards empowering youth and channelize their energy in the right direction. They also hailed his fight against drug menace in the district and assured him full support to uproot this social evil from the society.
