Her statement comes after a woman NC leader launched a scathing attack on Mehbooba by alleging that PDP chief was responsible all the mess in the Valley.

People’s Alliance for Gupkar Deceleration (PAGD) is an alliance of around five political parties seeking the restoration of special status to Jammu and Kashmir which was revoked in August 2019.

PAGD since its inception has held a series of meetings to chalk out a future strategy and had assured to reach out to the valley people with their agenda.

“Party President Mehbooba Mufti has directed all the party office bearers and colleagues to ensure that no reaction/statement be issued that may be detrimental to the unity of PAGD and thus the larger cause of the people of Jammu & Kashmir”, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) official handle tweeted, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).

Notably, both Peoples Democratic Party and National Conference are part of the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD), a group that demands pre-August 05, 2019 status. The alliance is headed by NC president Farooq Abdullah while PDP’s chief Mehbooba is the vice-chairperson.
