Srinagar, Jan 23: Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi, President of J&K Anjuman-E-Sharie Shian, is set to travel to New Delhi as part of a delegation to meet the joint committee of Parliament currently examining the Waqf (Amendment) Bill.
A spokesperson for Anjuman-E-Sharie Shian confirmed Aga Hassan’s participation, emphasizing that as a founding member of the Muttahida Majlis-e-Ulema (MMU), Aga Hassan will present his objections to the provisions of the proposed bill. His arguments will be framed in the context of Islamic jurisprudence.
