Thanking the Prime Minister, Sinha emphasized how the government’s sustained efforts in restoring peace and stability to the region have paved the way for such events.

He said, “The way the Prime Minister has been working to bring peace to Jammu and Kashmir is one of the key reasons why a marathon of this magnitude can be held here today,” he said as per news agency KNS.

The event featured both a full marathon and a half marathon, with participants from all over the country and abroad.

“The lights of Srinagar shining today are a testament to the city’s growing spirit, and the praise for it is limitless,” Sinha said, adding that a marathon is not just about winning or losing but about participation and community spirit.
