(Asian News Hub) – Keeping a strong vigil on the Covid protocol violations in the City, Srinagar Administration on the second day of the Eid mobilized their Enforcement Squads to ensure the compliance to Covid appropriate Behavior in Srinagar, said an official.
An official told that keeping in view the prediction of the Third wave of the Covid -19, the message and directions are clear from the DDMA Srinagar, in no ways the Covid violations will be tolerated and those found violating the Covid -19 Sops and guidelines will be dealt according to the Law.
Sources privy confirmed that, DDMA Srinagar, is going to act tough on Covid protocol violators and those found not wearing mask in public places may have to face FIR.
A senior official said that although Enforcement Squads have been constituted but it is not possible to run after every person to make him/her wear the mask. We have seen a trend that few people are habitual offenders and wear mask only when enforcement squad tells them. Therefore we are going for tougher punitive action in order to safeguard Public Health.
Recently, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar had told in a press briefing that not wearing a Mask despite going through First and Second waves is suicidal.
The experts have already warned about the third wave of Covid-19, and Government is ensuring the preparations are well in place, and have been urging people to follow the Covid Appropriate Behavior, so as to avoid the third wave of Covid-19.
Meanwhile Jammu and Kashmir reported 84 new cases of novel Coronavirus while one more person succumbed to the virus, while 20 of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu division and 64 from Kashmir Valley, officials said on Thursday.
