Srinagar, Feb 14: An inspector of the Power Development Department was electrocuted to death in Parimpora area of Srinagar this morning.
Reports said that a PDD inspector of Watal Kadal sub-division identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad, resident of Chattabal Srinagar, suffered burn injuries after receiving electric shock while repairing a wire in Parimpora this morning.
They said he was rushed to SMHS hospital for treatment. However, doctors declared him brought dead.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident, and the body will be handed over to family after medico-legal formalities.
