One person lost his life while two others were injured after a private vehicle met with an accident in Wavoora area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday.
Reports said that a Hyundai Venue bearing registration number JK01AQ-9452, driven by Fareed Ahmed Mir son of Qamar Din Mir, lost control and collided with a Deodar tree in Wavoora.
In the incident, three persons sustained injuries and were immediately shifted to District Hospital Kupwara for treatment.

However, one of the injured, identified as Gh. Nabi Mir son of Mohd Yaseen Mir, a resident of Wavoora, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The other two injured — Saleem Ahmed Mir son of Mohd Yaseen and Mukhta Begum wife of Gh. Nabi Mir, residents of Gagal Lolab — are undergoing treatment.
