Srinagar, Jun 06: A tragic road accident occurred late last night near Zabarwan Park in Srinagar, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to four others, following a collision between two Maruti vehicles.
Reports said that the accident took place near Zabarwan Park, Nehru Park, at around 11:45 PM last night when two Maruti vehicles collided, resulting in injuries to five persons.
They said all the injured were shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment; however, one among them succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Danish Ahmad Abdul Majeed Lone, 30, a resident of Harwan.
Four others injured in the collision have been identified as Parvaiz Mir (23), son of Mohammad Afzal, resident of Baramulla, Amir Wani (24), son of Abdul Rashid Wani, resident of Bandipora, Yasir Ahmad Khan (22), son of Ab Hamid, resident of Pattan, and Abid Hassan (28), son of Ghulam Hassan, resident of Wahdat Pora, Budgam.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation.
