Uttarkashi, May 08: A tragic helicopter crash near Ganganani in Uttarkashi district claimed the lives of five passengers and left two others seriously injured on Thursday, confirmed Garhwal Divisional Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey to ANI.
According to initial reports, the administration and relief teams rushed to the spot soon after the incident. Rescue operations were swiftly initiated by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and district administration.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed deep sorrow over the accident and said, “SDRF and district administration teams have immediately reached the spot for relief and rescue work. I have instructed the administration to provide all possible help to the injured and to thoroughly investigate the accident.”
The cause of the crash is yet to be determined, and further details are awaited as investigations continue.
