New Delhi, Jun 15: In a tragic accident early this morning, a helicopter operated by Aryan Aviation crashed near Gaurikund in Uttarakhand, killing all seven people on board. The victims include five passengers, one infant, and the pilot.
The Bell 407 helicopter (VT-BKA) had taken off from Shri Kedarnath ji at 5:19 AM, heading towards Aryan Helipad in Guptkashi, when it lost contact and crashed shortly after.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) had already reduced the number of helicopter flights on the Char Dham route as a precautionary measure. Following today’s crash, the DGCA is carrying out strict surveillance and reviewing ongoing operations.
The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) will conduct a detailed investigation into the cause of the crash, DGCA officials said.
