New Delhi, May 19: Amid escalating diplomatic tensions between India and Pakistan, the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) has removed a photograph of former Pakistani cricketer Danish Kaneria from the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur.
The move comes in the wake of growing public sentiment and national security concerns following Operation Sindoor, launched by Indian forces in response to a deadly terror attack in Jammu & Kashmir.
On April 22, terrorists opened fire on tourists in Pahalgam, Anantnag district, resulting in the deaths of 26 and injuring several others.

The gruesome attack prompted a swift and targeted response from Indian security agencies, who launched Operation Sindoor to track down and neutralize the perpetrators.
Over the following days, multiple terror hideouts were busted in South Kashmir, and several terrorists linked to Pakistan-based outfits were eliminated.
Amid this backdrop, former Pakistani spinner Danish Kaneria openly criticized Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for failing to condemn the attack. Kaneria’s remarks, which gained traction on social media, struck a chord with many Indians who viewed the silence from Pakistan’s leadership as tacit approval of cross-border terrorism.
