Ahmedabad, Jun 12: A heartbreaking tragedy has struck a family from Banswara, Rajasthan, as all its members perished in the Air India plane crash that occurred in Ahmedabad earlier today.

Dr. Koni Vyas, a medical professional who had recently resigned from Pacific Hospital, was preparing to start a new chapter of life in London with her husband, Pradeep Joshi, and their children. The entire family was on board Air India flight AI-171, which crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad en route to Gatwick.

Authorities have confirmed that there were no survivors from the family.

The incident has sent shockwaves across their hometown in Banswara, where the family was well-known and respected.

DNA testing is underway to help confirm the identities of the deceased.
