A madrassa teacher was arrested on Thursday for allegedly sodomizing a minor boy in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

A police official said that the arrest came following a complaint lodged by a 12-year-old boy (identity withheld), who accused his madrasa teacher (identity withheld) of committing the heinous act.
Upon receiving the complaint, the police promptly initiated an investigation, leading to the arrest of the accused madrassa teacher on charges of sodomy.
A senior police officer, while confirming the incident said that a case has been registered under relevant sections of law and investigation is underway.
