Srinagar, Jun 05: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday said that militants are resorting to attacks on innocent civilians to provoke security forces so that they will do something in desperation.

“The attack on innocent civilians in Kashmir is the result of sheer desperation. They are not even sparing girls and women now. It is their desperation, that they are resorting to such killings to provoke security forces so that they will do something similar in desperation,” he said, according to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), while addressing a gathering here.

He said that he wants to assure the people of Jammu and Kashmir that the administration wouldn’t take action against any innocent person.
