Tel Aviv, Jun 14: Iran launched multiple waves of missile attacks on Israel early Saturday, triggering widespread sirens and panic across the country’s north. Israeli emergency services confirmed significant damage to residential areas in central Israel, where at least two people were killed and over a dozen injured.
The missile barrage, dubbed “Operation Severe Punishment” by Iranian officials, was launched in retaliation to Israeli airstrikes carried out Friday night targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure and military sites. Explosions were reported across Tel Aviv, with video footage capturing the night sky lit by incoming fire and interceptors.

According to Iranian media, Israel’s Friday night strikes resulted in the deaths of at least 78 people, including four senior commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), in what Tehran described as a direct assault on its sovereignty.
The situation marks one of the most intense direct exchanges between the two nations in recent years, raising regional tensions and drawing concern from global powers over the risk of broader conflict.
