Tehran, Jun 13: At least 78 people were killed and 329 injured in Israeli airstrikes on residential areas and strategic sites across Iran, Iranian state media reported on Friday.
IRGC Commander-in-Chief Major General Hossein Salami, General Gholam Ali Rashid, and nuclear scientists Fereydoon Abbasi and Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi were among those killed.
The Natanz nuclear site and IRGC headquarters were heavily hit. Advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Shamkhani, was critically injured.

Israel stated the strikes aimed to destroy missile launchers and military assets. Iranian officials vowed a “painful” retaliation, while Israel remains on high alert after intercepting over 100 Iranian drones.
Iran has closed its airspace and placed all key infrastructure under maximum alert.
