A man from Kupwara slipped to death in a canal at Gund Jahangeer area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on monday.

An official said that a man slipped to death in the irrigation canal at Haritar Irrigation Shed Gund Jahangeer identified as Farooq Ahmad Payer son of Abdul Samad Payer resident of Kupwara.
He said that body was recovered by a team of Police, 13 RR of Indian Army, along with the help of locals and was subsequently shifted to CHC Hajin for medico-legal formalities.
Further investigation in this regard has been taken up. KS
