Srinagar, May 4: A man who was critically injured after falling from a truck that overturned at the New Bypass in the Lasjan area of Srinagar has died, officials said.

Officials said the accident occurred when the truck overturned along the bypass in Lasjan on Sunday evening. The man, who was travelling on top of the vehicle, fell onto the road and sustained serious injuries.
He was rushed to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries this morning, they said.
The deceased has been identified as Muhammad Iqbal Bokda, son of Ghulam Muhammad Bokda, a resident of Mazmoo, Qazigund.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident.
