A minor girl was killed in a leopard attack in Khiram Sirigufwara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday evening, causing fear and panic among local residents.
According to officials, the wild animal attacked the girl in Khiram Gujjar Basti Galan, Sirigufwara, leading to her death on the spot. The deceased has been identified as the daughter of Riyaz Ahmad Paswal, a resident of the area.
The incident has triggered widespread panic in the locality, with residents expressing serious concern over increasing leopard movement near human habitations.

Soon after the incident, locals informed the authorities, following which teams from the Wildlife Department rushed to the spot to assess the situation and initiate necessary measures to prevent further incidents. (KNC)
