(Asian News Hub) – A youth leader has been arrested in Kerala for allegedly raping a six-year-old girl for three years and murdering her.

The youth wing leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has been arrested in Kerala for allegedly raping a 6-year-old girl and hanging her to death. The girl’s body was found hanging in a room at her parents’ quarters on June 30.

Reportedly, the incident took place in the Idukki district of Kerala.

Reportedly, the accused used to lure the girl on the pretext of giving her sweets and continued to rape her for three years.

According to the police, the incident took place on June 30, when the accused was allegedly raping the minor girl.

Initially, the police had registered a case of accidental death in relation to the incident. The autopsy report of the girl, however, revealed that she was sexually abused over a long period of time. Following this, the police grew suspicious that the case was one of murder.

The cops suspect that on June 30, the girl lost consciousness while she was being sexually abused and the accused feared that she may have died.

Following this, he hanged her to death in the room. As per police sources, the accused confessed to subjecting the girl to sexual abuse during the interrogation.
