Budgam, Aug 27: One day job fair/placement drive was today organized by District Employment & Counselling Centre (DE&CC) Budgam at ITI, Budgam for youth (skill/unskilled) for their placement in various companies.

The Director, Employment J&K (Srinagar) was the Chief Guest on the occasion and while addressing the gathering he motivated the students to participate in such programs.

The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, S F Hamid also addressed the participants and appealed to them to actively participate in such placement drives.

Earlier, the opening remarks were given by the officials of DE&CC, Budgam.

This was the first of its kind drive organized by the DE&CC, Budgam with the objective to facilitate pass out candidates for reasonable placement in the private sector.

Various companies like Ashok Leyland (AMCO Automobiles Pvt. Ltd.), Mahindra (Himalayan Motors), Adfar Spices, City Infra, Mubi Cloth Industry etc. were the main companies that participated in the fair.

16 Unemployed youth of the district were given on spot Job Offer Letters by the Deputy Commissioner. The Remaining 89 candidates were called for the 2nd round of Interview/Placement.

Meanwhile, a closing ceremony was held in the conference hall-where in job letters were distributed among the selected candidates.
