JK Women Helpline (181) organized awareness camp at Kheer Bhawani mela

Tulla mulla, June 10: J&K Women Helpline (181) today organized an awareness camp at mela Kheer Bhawani at Tullamulla Ganderbal.

The purpose of the camp is to make visitors, especially women pilgrims aware regarding the various services the organization can provide once reached on its tool free three digit 181 number & its associated One Stop Centre (OSC).

The J&K WHL (181) was inaugurated in the month of Oct, 2017 by the Minister for Social Welfare Sajad Gani Lone and Minister for State.
According to the State coordinator of J&K WHL (181) Bilal Ahmad Bhat, JK WHL (181) is a joint initiative by Union and State government to provide 24 hour-immediate response to women affected by violence and represent them in front of appropriate authorities which includes police and legal authorities. The Women Helpline is run by Aman Satay Kachroo Trust headed by Prof.Raj Kachroo .

He added even women in distress can also reach on the number.
