Budgam, May 19: In a tragic incident, a JCB operator lost his life after a landslide struck while he was working in the Jawalapora Wudder area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on late Sunday night.
An official told that a JCB machine owned by Riyaz Ahmad Dar, a resident of Jawalapora, was working at the site when it got buried under a sudden landslide.
The operator, identified as Tasir Ahmad Bhat, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, and a resident of Dulipora Waterhail, died on the spot as the heavy clay engulfed the machine, he said.
