Srinagar, Nov 19: A jaundice outbreak has been reported in Bohrikadal area of Srinagar, with 12 cases reported among individuals aged between 12 and 32 years.
Reports said that three water samples and five blood samples have been collected and sent to the District Public Health Laboratory (DPHL) at JLNM Hospital, Rainawari, for detailed analysis. The Jal Shakti Department has also been informed to conduct water sampling and assess supply sources.
So far, no hospitalisations or referrals have been recorded. Health teams have provided community-level health education to residents of the affected localities.

Local surveillance teams have been directed to maintain strict vigilance and report any further developments. Authorities have stated that the situation remains under control.
